Requirement and Test Case Co-Design

Abstract

Due to the increasing use of software in mechatronic systems, coupled with exacting demands on quality, it is necessary to adapt development processes in the field of mechatronic systems engineering in order to cope with the interdisciplinary characteristics of these systems. A survey is presented of current development processes and resulting requirements on specification and test management. A concept is presented for the integrated modelling and specification of requirements and test cases. It is concluded that semi-formalization of requirements forms an integral part of the approach making the automatic generation of test cases possible.
